I was introduced early to the visual arts through the women in my life, that is my mother and my grandmothers. I explored oil, pastel, drawing, collage and ink to finally discover acrylic in 2001. It was also in 2001 that I took a plastic arts course with Reno Salvail at Sainte-Foy Cegep: it is the beginning of a period of intense creation. Art has always accompanied me, even when I was doing my master's degree in neuroscience: my artistic sense then expressed in images drawn from my experiences of Immunohistochemistry!
Self-taught, chasing an artistic approach that drives me to explore. I love the contrasting colors, solids, well-defined lines. I discovered animal painting after my second pregnancy and I find stimulating to give life by a simple brush stroke that will release the live animal.
I am inspired by Impressionist and Cubist movements and recently by photorealism, I also found beauty in the conventional use of colours and light. Painting meets a huge need of expression.
